A prosecutor has filed a motion to dismiss the felony barratry charges against Rep. Ron Reynolds, D-Missouri City, but plans to refile the case with misdemeanor charges.
The development came as Reynolds’ case was set for a second trial on Aug. 3. His first trial in November 2014 ended in mistrial because of jury misconduct.
