Retired District Judge Billy Ray Stubblefield, who still presides as administrative judge for the Third Judicial District, made a trip to Waco on June 9 to meet with two district judges and brainstorm about ways to accelerate bond hearings for more than 130 jailed bikers.

After his visit, Stubblefield reported that now, of the 170 bikers charged with the first-degree felony of engaging in organized crime after a May 17 deadly shoot-out that started in a Twin Peaks restaurant parking lot in Waco, 99 have reached agreements with prosecutors for their release on bail and 70 of those have already been released.
