Public relations specialists have filed a federal lawsuit against two Houston attorneys and law firms associated with their names, alleging they are owed more than $8 million in hourly fees. The plaintiffs claim they helped the lawyers get hired by seafood restaurants, dealers and other BP oil spill claimants from eight states.

In response to the complaint, one of the lawyer defendants, Jimmy Williamson of Houston, said: “The lawsuit is bogus and baseless and we will be defending against it. I can’t make any further comment at this time.” Another lawyer defendant, Michael Pohl, also of Houston, did not return a call by press time. No defendants have filed answers.
