The city of Austin has released a report on the world-famous South by Southwest festival that indicates the annual event is at a “critical point” for public safety if it doesn’t make changes.

Within months of an incident at SXSW in March where a driver crashed through barricades into a crowd, killing four people and injuring 24, the city had already received multiple notice-of-claim letters from lawyers representing victims. The 2014 SXSW Post-Event Evaluation report might impact the potential litigation, according to one lawyer representing two victims.
