Robert S. Strauss‘ memorial service is slated for April 23 at the Washington National Cathedral. Strauss, a cofounder of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld and an adviser to presidents, served as ambassador to the Soviet Union and later to Russia. He died at the age of 95 on March 19.
Those who will speak include Vernon E. Jordan Jr., an adviser to President Bill Clinton; former Secretary of State James A. Baker III; Rabbi David Stern from Temple Emanu-El in Dallas; and the Very Rev. Gary Hall, dean of the cathedral.
