Trips to Montana for seminars, BP stock ownership and gifts for a judge who took senior status are the highlights of the 2010 financial disclosure reports filed by 22 active and senior judges on the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Under the Ethics in Government Act of 1978, federal judges must disclose the sources and amounts of their income — other than their judicial salaries — for themselves. They must disclose the sources of their spouses’ non-investment income. And the judges must report reimbursements for trips, as well as gifts and debts incurred by themselves, spouses and dependent children.
