One lawyer has resigned in lieu of discipline, another has been placed on probation for one year, and a third has been publicly reprimanded, the State Bar of Texas recently reported. The reprimanded lawyer — from Bexar County — was ordered to pay $4,965.46 for attorney's fees and direct expenses to the State Bar and to complete 15 additional hours of continuing legal education in the area of ethics. The lawyer placed on probation was ordered to pay $475 in fees and expenses and to complete nine additional hours of CLE in civil litigation, ethics and law practice management.
