The law firm Dykema announced in January the addition of David J. Schenck to the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group as a resident in its Dallas office. Schenck rejoins Dykema after serving as justice for the Texas Fifth Court of Appeals, a position to which he was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry in 2015. He was then elected to a six-year term in 2016.
Prior to his judicial appointment, Schenck was a member at Dykema, serving as leader of the firm’s Specialized Litigation & Advanced Motion Practice Team. In his practice, he provides counsel to clients and handles litigation and regulatory matters.
