Adams and Reese and two Houston partners were hit with a negligence lawsuit Thursday seeking more than $1 million and alleging the defendants mishandled litigation filed to collect on a lien, and then withdrew the representation due to a conflict.

Plaintiff Emerald Electrical Consultants alleges the negligence of the defendants caused it to lose the value of the work it did as a subcontractor on the Golden Pass Project, caused it to lose money on some related Florida jobs, and led it to pay “wasted” money in legal fees.
