I admit it. I’m a sucker for a well-executed, colorful map.
So, when the folks at ISS Securities Class Action Services passed along the map above, which they created as part of their new report “The Largest U.S. Settlements by State as of July 1, 2021,” naturally it caught my eye. The map overlays each state with the logo of the company that has shelled out the largest federal securities class action settlement in that state’s federal courts since the passage of the PSLRA. Think of it as one of those fun maps matching each state with its residents’ favorite Halloween candy, only with more (alleged) security fraud.
