Meanwhile, the disparity in compensation among cities continues to be pronounced. Average total compensation ranged from a low of $650,000 in Atlanta to a high of $1,658,000 in Palo Alto/Silicon Valley and $1,639,000 in New York. At the same time, Palo Alto/Silicon Valley (40%), Miami (31%), Philadelphia (29%) and Boston (24%) saw large gains.
