Citing a “pent-up demand” for resolutions that need a jury, the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia said this week he is committed to reinstituting in-person juries in a new order he plans to hand down next month. 

Chief Justice Harold Melton’s Judiciary Pandemic Task Force this week released new guidelines for reinstituting in-person jury trials that conform to state health and safety protocols intended to limit the spread of COVID-19.
