Deutsche Bank has teamed with Debevoise & Plimpton partner David O’Neil to handle its engagement in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the presidential election, according to a source familiar with the matter.

This week, U.S. and German news organizations reported that Mueller’s prosecution team served on Deutsche Bank a subpoena for records of people in Trump’s orbit. Deutsche Bank, Germany’s largest bank and one with long ties to Trump business ventures, has faced mounting scrutiny since this summer.
