Evidence production deadlines have long presented challenges for litigators, especially given growing demands for transnational capacity and high-volume data handling. But a recent survey suggests that those working in the e-discovery sector are starting to develop a better handle on these production timelines.

A recent Deloitte survey of over 250 legal and e-discovery professionals participating in a webcast found that only 22 percent of those polled felt that their organization would be able to conduct discovery and produce evidence while managing global litigation, internal investigations or regulatory matters. An additional 36 percent said they could, but only given an extension. Nearly 18 percent said they could not conduct discovery or produce evidence while managing these factors.
