International child abduction lawsuits on the rise
An uptick in international child abduction lawsuits in federal courts around the country has prompted small practitioners to tackle the intricacies of an international child abduction law and major law firms to take the cases pro bono. At least 16 cases have been filed in federal courts this year in Florida, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington state.
