Countersuit Enlivens Patent Lawyer's Battle With Electric Car Maker

BluWav Systems, whose parent company, Magna Electronics, is collaborating with Ford on electric cars, has sued a California patent lawyer to whom it paid $240,000 to settle claims that the company didn't pay him or give him proper credit for his patent work. In Thursday's suit, BluWav claims Edward Durney breached the settlement by filing a fresh complaint, claiming that a would-be business partner at Magna unfairly squeezed him out of a deal to buy BluWav.
