Almost 2000 remaining plaintiffs in the long-running suit over alleged exposure to radiation in the 1979 nuclear reactor accident at Three Mile Island outside Harrisburg, Pa., were dealt a major blow by the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. A three-judge panel ruled that discovery in the matter is closed and that the plaintiffs are barred from pursuing any "new theories" or finding new medical experts.
