At least, it may turn out that way for Morrison & Foerster, whose Tokyo office scored the Japanese-based company as a client last year. Many of MoFo's deals involved companies backed by Softbank's prodigious investment arm. "It has helped validate our representation in the Internet and e-commerce areas," says MoFo's managing partner in Tokyo.
