Adelphia Founder, Son Guilty of 18 Fraud Counts
A federal jury in Manhattan convicted Adelphia Communications founder John J. Rigas and his son Timothy J. Rigas on Thursday of securities and bank fraud charges stemming from the multibillion-dollar scandal that bankrupted the company. The jury acquitted Adelphia's former assistant treasurer, Michael C.
