Guidant Tells Doctors to Not Use Five Defibrillator Models
Guidant on Friday issued its second safety advisory in a week about its implantable defibrillators, telling doctors to stop using five of the models because they could malfunction and may have to be recalled. Lawyers who have filed suits against Guidant for failing to release information about faulty defibrillators said the most recent announcement is a sign of a troubled company.
