Trial Opens in AHP Age-Bias Suit

The trial of an age discrimination suit against American Home Products began Tuesday in a New Jersey Superior Court, with the plaintiff's lawyer promising to call the company's chief executive officer as a witness to prove there is a from-the-top policy of firing anyone over 65. "All Al Jablonski did was turn 65," said the plaintiff's attorney, Mark Falk, during opening arguments. American Home Products attorney Gregory Craig said Jablonski was let go solely because his position was being eliminated.
