Legal Aid faces another tough year for firm fundraising

Atlanta Legal Aid Society's annual fundraising campaign is a bellwether of the economy. The fundraising target, $1.6 million, has not increased since 2008, and the group has again deferred raising the contribution-per-attorney for pacesetter firms, which make a donation for every lawyer in their Atlanta office.Last year, the per-attorney contribution was slated to increase from $400 to $500, but Atlanta Legal Aid postponed the increase.
