Anthony Brass, who had left the DA's office in 2002 to work for U.S. Attorney Kevin Ryan, announced Friday he is stepping down as a federal prosecutor to go after gangs for Harris. Brass will join Harris' three-person gang unit, focusing on murders and shootings.
