Where Innovation and Tradition Mingle

Starting Sunday, Sept. 18, Philadelphia will hold it's fifth Center City Restaurant Week, a six-day event during which many of the city's restaurants offer three-course menus at a fixed price of $30 per person. This year, 86 Center City restaurants are taking part, up six restaurants from last September's week. Many of them are veterans to the event, but there are also some new places to replace those not on the list this year.

Judge: Nixon Peabody Charged Excessive Fees in Aviation Legal Battle

A federal judge in Virginia has ruled that Nixon Peabody charged excessive fees in a legal battle between two aviation companies -- its client, Signature Flight Support Corp., and Landow Aviation. In a July 30 decision that slashed about $440,000 from the fee amount, U.S. District Judge James Cacheris found that the number of hours Nixon Peabody expended on the case demonstrated a "lack of billing judgment exercised by plaintiff's counsel" and "overall excessiveness of plaintiff's fee request."
