Boy Scouts Battle Not Over, Attorneys Say

The legal battle for the soul of the Boy Scouts of America will not end with the unanimous New Jersey Supreme Court decision on Wednesday prohibiting the Boy Scouts from discriminating against gay members, according to lawyers for both parties. Boy Scouts' attorney George A. Davidson said he will appeal the New Jersey decision to the U.S. Supreme Court on the grounds that state law can not override the private nonprofit's First Amendment right to choose their own members.
