On a 39-1 vote Jan. 29, the State Bar of Texas board of directors recommended that lawyers not be required to disclose whether they have professional liability insurance unless a client or potential client requests such information. The state Supreme Court has revised some of the proposed changes to the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct that gave lawyers the most heartburn.
