Three decades and one legal action later, McNabb has established that she is entitled to a multimillion-dollar share of the Jell-O fortune. A New York appellate panel has ruled that McNabb legally constitutes a "descendant" and "living child" of her mother, Barbara W. Piel, under trusts established by Piel's mother in 1926 and 1963. The case turned on the dates the trusts were established.
