At the suggestion of counsel for the Lago Agrio plaintiffs, Joseph Berlinger and affiliates (collectively, "Berlinger") undertook to make a documentary film about the litigation. They were given extraordinary access by the Lago Agrio plaintiffs and ultimately released a film entitled Crude.

Second Circuit courts may no longer presume that a copyright holder will suffer irreparable harm if it is likely to prevail on the merits. Salinger's family must now go back to district court to meet this new test in their battle against a book based on The Catcher in the Rye.

'Gone With the Wind' Guardians: New 'Parody' a Threat

The attorneys who are the guardians of "Gone With the Wind" and the Margaret Mitchell estate say that publication of a new book re-telling the story through the eyes of Tara's slaves would "set a terrible precedent." They have gone to court to stop publication of the new book, claiming that to allow publication would "diminish or preclude outright" any ability to authorize and control future derivative works.
