Morgan & Finnegan Files for Bankruptcy

Morgan & Finnegan, the New York IP boutique that dissolved in February after a raft of partner departures, filed for bankruptcy Tuesday. 'Catcher in the Rye' Copyright Fight Enters a New Chapter

Martha Graham's Heir Can't Control Use of Dancer's Name

The ousted artistic director of Martha Graham's dance institutions cannot control the use of the dancer's name, despite having registered a trademark on it, a federal judge in New York ruled Tuesday. The judge found Ronald A. Protas provided the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office with "erroneous and misleading" information when he registered the name "Martha Graham" and the term "Martha Graham technique."
