Firm Coalition Concerned About Business Tax Reform Proposal
A 16-firm coalition is keeping track of a proposed Texas tax reform that is scheduled to be unveiled on Wednesday and considered during a 30-day special legislative session beginning April 17. The proposal would replace the business franchise tax, which only a limited number of businesses pay, with a margin tax that would apply to a larger number of businesses, including limited liability partnerships.
