'Hatchet Man' Sharpens Ax for New Fight

Assistant U.S. Attorney Allan B. Kaiser earned his nickname, "Hatchet Man" as an up-and-coming Miami narcotics prosecutor in the early 1990s. The nickname was bestowed by grateful undercover cops who admired his ability to chop through a stack of difficult cases like a rail-splitter hewing a pile of logs. A decade later, it's not drug dealers who are on Kaiser's chopping block, it's Miami police officers.
