Restaurateurs Peter Poulakakos and his father Harry are planning a rebirth for Pier A, a landmark Hudson River pier on the east side of Battery Park that had fallen into disrepair. Plans for the 125-year-old pier include an outside lower-level oyster bar and beer garden, a second-floor restaurant, and a third-floor catering facility with private rooms. Other amenities will include a visitor's center, a 30,000-square-foot public plaza and a public promenade. Also, Actimize Inc., an international leader in financial crime and fraud prevention, has doubled its New York City headquarters at 1359 Broadway.
