Justices seem sympathetic to Secret Service

Voicing concerns for the ability of Secret Service agents to do their jobs free from the threat of lawsuits, the Supreme Court on Wednesday seemed sympathetic to giving the agents immunity from claims that they have violated free speech rights. The justices heard arguments in Reichle v. Howards, which stems from the arrest of Steve Howards, who confronted then-Vice President Dick Cheney in a Colorado shopping mall in 2006.
