A jury in an Orange County district court has found that Yamaha Motor Co. was not liable for the death of a 13-year-old boy who died as a result of injuries he suffered when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving overturned. His family sued for $27 million, alleging the vehicle had a design defect that made it unstable and likely to tip over. Defendants denied any defect and claimed the ATV had been thoroughly tested.
