Solos and small-firm lawyers who also serve in the Texas Legislature filed for most of the legislative continuances in court between 2003 and 2005, according to a new study by a political watchdog group. The study shows that just five lawyer-legislators, all of whom are solos or small-firm attorneys, accounted for 81 percent of the 431 legislative continuances.
