In-House Noncompete Rules Get First State Test
Regulators in New Jersey have begun the first known inquiry by a state into the ethical propriety of a corporation requiring in-house counsel to sign noncompete covenants. Although the issue stems from one unidentified BASF Corp. attorney's request, the issue affects thousands of companies around the country.
