Capmark Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in Delaware

Horsham, Pa.-based Capmark Financial Group Inc. announced Oct. 25 that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, along with some of its subsidiaries, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Capmark intends to use the reorganization process to implement a restructuring that reduces its corporate debt and maximizes value for its stakeholders, according a statement released by the company. Capmark's businesses are expected to operate normally during reorganization.
