A month after being slapped with a $4.1 million personal injury verdict in Alabama, diet pill manufacturer Metabolife International found some better luck in California. A jury there ruled that diet pill Metabolife 356 was defective, but did not cause a man's stroke four years ago that left him paralyzed and unable to work. As a result, no damages were awarded to the plaintiffs.
