Scrutinizing 'Supersealed' Cases

Legal experts are questioning the secrecy surrounding two cases in federal court in Florida -- one involving narcotics, the other consisting of a terrorism-related investigation and a habeas corpus petition. Some say that the extreme secrecy in the "supersealed" cases -- apparently imposed without legally accepted processes and criteria -- is dangerous for both those involved in litigation and for the public, and that federal judges are deferring too much to the executive branch.
