Atlanta's Long Aldridge & Norman and Dallas' Winstead Sechrest & Minick continue to engage in merger talks. Jeffrey K. Haidet, managing partner of Long Aldridge, says a merger with Winstead would increase the firm's geographic diversity. When his Senate term expires, Zell B. Miller will join McKenna Long & Aldridge as a senior policy adviser in its government affairs practice.
