Report: Law Firm Mergers Continue Record Pace

The latest quarterly report from legal consultancy Altman Weil shows another 19 law firm mergers on the books in the U.S. during this year's third quarter, for a total of 58 combinations this year. That marks a 41 percent increase over the first three quarters of 2012 and keeps the industry on pace to surpass 2008's record total of 70 law firm mergers, according to the report.
