Where the judge erred in deciding as a matter of law that defendant-firm had an attorney-client relationship with plaintiff, plaintiff failed to present sufficient evidence to support a finding that any alleged negligence by the firm was a proximate cause of its alleged loss, expert testimony was required on proximate cause and plaintiff's expert (a retired New York judge) was not barred from testifying, but his testimony was a net opinion, plaintiff's legal malpractice claim is dismissed with prejudice.
