Frederick Lacey—perhaps best known for prosecuting Newark Mayor Hugh Addonizio, but also a formidable jurist and accomplished private practitioner in New Jersey—is being remembered as one of the state’s most notable members of the legal community following his death.

Lacey died April 1 at age 96 at his Florida home, following a brief illness; he practiced up until age 88.
