Atlantic City has been hit with a First Amendment suit for allegedly threatening to revoke the business license of a strip club for making cash payments to taxi and limousine drivers who steer customers to the establishment.

Stiletto Gentleman’s Club claims city officials have threatened civil or criminal action against it for violations of the city’s taxicab ordinance. The club moved for an injunction barring the city from enforcement of the taxicab ordinance against it on Tuesday, one day after the suit was filed.
