A proposed class action filed Thursday in federal court in Camden claims General Motors overstated the gas mileage estimates on as many as 2 million vehicles it sold from 2009-16.

According to the suit, Shannon v. General Motors, the automaker advertised its Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook crossovers with Environmental Protection Agency ratings of 17 mpg in the city, 24 on the highway, and a combined rating of 19. However, the correct figures are 15 mpg in the city, 22 on the highway and a combined rating of 17, the suit asserts.
