Paulette Brown, president of the American Bar Association, has been elected a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. According to the college, election as a fellow is the highest recognition by one’s colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication and excellence. Brown is a labor and employment partner with Locke Lord in the Morristown office and co-chair of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She has focused her practice on all facets of labor and employment and commercial litigation. Prior to entering private practice, she held a number of positions, including in-house counsel to Fortune 500 companies and as a municipal court judge. The 21st installation of fellows will be held Nov. 12, 2016, in Chicago. Headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland, the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers was founded in 1995 as a nonprofit professional association honoring the country’s leading labor and employment lawyers. With its current installation, the college is represented by more than 1,400 members in 48 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and eight Canadian provinces.
