A New York law firm that handled federal securities litigation on behalf of stockholders in a now-defunct auto parts manufacturer has succeeded in obtaining dismissal of a suit lodged by a New Jersey class member claiming legal malpractice.

The Appellate Division on March 8 found a lack of jurisdiction over claims against Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz stemming from the class action, which settled in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
