After more than 30 years, a Hoboken woman who wants to move into a converted garage that she has rented to another woman and her son since the early 1970s will finally be able evict the tenants, the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled Oct. 7.

In a unanimous ruling, the court said that even with a liberal reading of the state’s renter-friendly Anti-Eviction Act, the owner, Anna Mae Cashin, should be allowed to oust the current tenants, Marisela Bello and her son, Martino Bello.
