A former prosecutor who claims that the administration of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie quashed a criminal case to protect political allies and then fired him for objecting has renewed his request for the grand jury transcripts and exhibits, which he claims will help him prove his case.

On Feb. 19, Bennett Barlyn filed a motion to compel disclosure of the records, contending that he can now show a “particularized need” for them, aided by newly obtained evidence.
