In an insurance coverage suit over a $15 million personal injury settlement in Camden, N.J., federal court, the parties are quarrelling about which of them is the plaintiff.

The judge should clarify the parties’ roles because an earlier motion by Camden County, N.J., to realign the parties was denied without prejudice and the county is likely to again attempt to take the place of the plaintiff, according to court papers filed Aug. 7 by State National Insurance Company.
